All Ceramics
The full collection explores the functional potentials of ceramics. Working with quality clays and recycled elements, many pieces are made with Japanese stoneware clays or are finished with glazes formulated from recycled local ash, underscoring Remy's commitment to sustainability and the exploration of place through his chosen materials.
Surfaces range from minimal, polished and scorched finishes that preserve raw texture, to highly expressive, multilayered glaze compositions that are achieved through multiple firings.
For tableware, each piece balances function with expressive, tactile finishes. Each piece is grounded in material honesty, allowing specialised clays to highlight raw textures, visible throwing lines, and accentuate earthy, atmospheric glazes—predominately noted by ash-based glazes, slip work and scorched surface treatments.
For furniture, scale is increased, creating clay modular blocks and wheel-thrown stools, as seating and side tables. Each piece is handmade in the Marrickville studio, constructed for durability and longevity.
The collection balances restraint with experimental depth, creating distinctive yet considered objects for the home.
